LETTERS to the EDITOR

(ABR) Hank Howard writes in reference to the PEDRO’S Screen Saver:

WHAT A WONDERFUL TRIBUTE TO THE PEDROS, WOULD BE NICE TO LET THE BOYS IN SAN JOSE SEE THE WORK YOU GUYS DID AT THE UPCOMING SCRAMBLE?

Thanks Hank, since I can’t make it this time, I’m sure you’ll find a way.

Steve

Hi Steve,

I'm wondering if you might know where a guy could get a "Pedro" window decal? I think it would be neat to have one in my truck.

Tom

If anyone can help Tom locate a decal, contact him at tbill3@theriver.com

I’ve been asked for information on Decals, Patches, etc., so here are a couple of references:

Steve

Hello. I would like to introduce our new Custom Vehicle License Frames especially for Military Veterans.  For example, I can make the top of a frame state, "VIETNAM VETERAN” and the bottom state, "HH-43 AIR RESCUE".  My frames are a great bargain and they look great!  But the best part is that you don’t pay a cent until they’re on your car.  There is a link below to my website so you can view images of the frames.  Check the “Compliments” page on the website to see comments of other veterans!

I also have production frames for; Combat Door Gunners, Combat Helicopter Pilots, Combat Crew Chief, Combat Veterans, Combat Helicopter Pilot, Combat Aircrew, Veteran Aircrew, Combat Veteran, Veteran Combat Pilot,  "Support Our Troops" and more.

These frames are a great way for veteran's to get well deserved recognition and let America know that there are proud Veterans in our communities!  These frames look GREAT… and because of my trust in fellow veterans, you don’t have to pay a cent until you have them in your hand or on your vehicle!

Production Frame Example:

The top states:     “Vietnam Veteran”

The bottom states: "Combat Door Gunner"

CUSTOM PATCHES

Hi Steve,

I can have the patches made in raised format or flat machine made. The flat machine made cost much less but I have to have a minimum 50 order. The raised format can be produced in any quantity - 1-100. They can also be personalized - made smaller, larger, bullion enhanced - Velcro on the back, clutch pins on the back or sew-on. Takes about 4-6 weeks to get an order filled on those. Flat would require a minimum order of 50 and unit price on those would be $4-6 depending on details. These can't be personalized.

The Raised would be in the price range we discussed - $10-15 unless very large or very small. Better price for large orders. These can be done in anyway requested and I can make new designs from artwork or photo/scan. We can also make Name tags, flags, banners with any kind of personalization you want. We are only limited by our imagination!

Subject: Access DD-214 Online

Pass to Every Vet - MILITARY RECORDS

Importance: High

FYI.  The
National Personnel Records Center has provided the following
website for veterans to access their DD-214 online:

http://vetrecs.archives.gov> http://vetrecs.archives.gov>.

This may be particularly helpful when a veteran needs a copy of his DD-214
for employment purposes.  Please see the details below.

NPRC initiates online records request procedures

The
National Personnel Records Center is working to make it easier for
veterans with computers and Internet access to obtain copies of documents
from their military files.

Military veterans and the next of kin of deceased former military members
may now use a new online military personnel records system to request
documents.  Other individuals with a need for documents must still complete
the Standard Form 180 which can be downloaded from the online web site.

The new web-based application was designed to provide better service on
these requests by eliminating the records center's mailroom processing time.

Also, because the requester will be asked to supply all information
essential for NPRC to process the request, delays that normally occur when
NPRC has to ask veterans for additional information will be
minimized.

Veterans and next of kin may access this application at

http://vetrecs.archives.gov> http://vetrecs.archives.gov

Please note there is no requirement to type "www" in front of the web
address.
