INTRODUCTION

In this issue we’ll ponder the question “what is a hero” and imagine if the H-43 had never been designed and built, how would this have affected your life?

A year ago Paul and I started putting out feelers to see who would be interested in a Newsletter for former H-43 crewmembers.  The result is now history! The Newsletter has become an E-magazine and our readership is now some where between 350-400.

We’ve established our fledgling Web Site at Pedro News and the H-43 Personnel Directory is providing a reference to locate long lost friends and former crewmembers.

What is the future of the PEDRO NEWS? Only you, our readers can determine the answer.  I know that I’m repeating this, but without your contributions, stories, photos, etc., we would not exist.

Lastly, the PEDRO Screen Saver is complete. It contains 200 photos with descriptions, background music and lasts 50+ minutes. For ordering information, send your request to the PedroNews@frontiernet.net

WE’VE MADE SOME CHANGES!!!!!

We are now getting closer to a real web site!!!!

For many of you the download time has been a real issue.

Now, instead of downloading the Newsletter all at once, you can go to the bottom of each page and select the story you wish to read by clicking on that link. That will allow you a much faster and enjoyable download. Since we are an E-Magazine we use quite a few photos. They tend to take up a lot of space and take longer to load. We are looking into ways to shorten your download time even more without having to sacrifice the quality of our product. As a newcomer to web design, I’d appreciate any help that anyone out there may give. At the present time we are using the MS Word format but soon will be using a different program that will allow us to be much more efficient.

Many Thanks

Paul
